We all know how much our friends influence us. Our brains tend to align with the people we spend time with. According to Moran Cerf, a neuroscientist at Northwestern University, when friends spend time together their brain wave patterns start to look almost identical. He says, “the people you hang out with actually have an impact on your engagement with reality beyond what you can explain. And one of the effects is you become alike.”
